Note: You do not need to run "install.bat" for SotSB. Running install.bat will not work on Windows XP, or Vista, and I'm not sure if install.bat will work with Windows 98 either. although it will install with Windows 95 or earlier. DOSbox can run SotSB without the need to install. D-Fend Reloaded will make the whole process easier. Please read below.
D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox Front End)
After DOSBox and D-Fend Reloaded are installed (DOSBox is included with the current D-Fend Reloaded download), download and unzip Secret of the Silver Blades onto your C drive so that your game folder = C:\SECRET
Then open D-Fend Reloaded and click "Profile", then "Add" and type in a profile name, set the Program File to acces C:\SECRET\START.EXE , then click the "Drives" tab and click "Add" and click the search button and find the SECRET folder on your C drive. Mount C:\SECRET , then if you click the "DosBox settings" you can set the "Start in fullscreen mode" to No. You don't have to, but I like to run the game in windowed mode. Also you can speed up or slow down the speed if you click the "Environment" tab. The standard CPT Cycle is set at 3000. I find that 3000 works well with most DOS programs.
